A Practical Certification Pathway for Classroom Readiness
The Professional Sub-Teacher Certification Program helps prepare substitute teachers to enter classrooms with confidence. The program is practice-based, focusing on classroom readiness, student safety, decision-making, and professional judgment rather than passive training alone.
Through interactive lessons, real-world classroom scenarios, decision-based simulations, applied assignments, and assessments, substitutes learn how to respond professionally to the situations they are most likely to face in schools. The course is self-paced, online, and designed to be completed in approximately four hours across ten structured modules.
What Substitute Teachers Learn
Participants build practical skills in key areas such as classroom management, student engagement, lesson delivery, school safety procedures, student privacy, professional communication, and support for diverse learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and language needs.
The training also includes topics aligned with school expectations, including FERPA, mandated reporting responsibilities, bullying and harassment prevention, ethical boundaries, and emergency procedures.
